Florian Frandl

Art Director, Brand Designer, Photographer.

Since July 1983, passionate about complex tasks, creative solutions, and a love for idea-driven, detail-oriented design.

In 1993, at the age of 9, became the youngest Creative Director in Austria (for a pupils newspaper layout). Shortly after, completed high school with a focus on Marketing at Handelsakademie Neumarkt Business School, subsequently pursued a Master’s degree in MultiMediaArt at the University of Applied Sciences in Salzburg and Graphic Design at Charles Darwin University in Australia; in 2007 successfully completed studies with a thesis titled “Corporate Flair”, focusing on holistic brand experiences.

Professional experiences include positions at MUTABOR Design in Hamburg, Alpine Marketing, and Red Bull, as well as freelance work on various campaigns for design and advertising agencies.

Since 2015, self-employed with a design studio.

I am focused on reinvigorating authentic brands with high standards, heart, soul and flow.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Brand Development

Analysis, strategy, conception, and design of outstanding visual identities, creation of dynamic brand universes, development of names, logos, key visuals, and slogans, definition of design modules for a comprehensive brand experience

Communication Design

Design of business stationery and communication tools such as folders, flyers, and mailings; posters and advertisements; editorial designs for magazines, annual reports, and books; packaging design; signage systems; exhibition stands; and showrooms

360° Creative Direction

Extended competencies for individual needs through the best team partners in communication, photography, sound, video, programming, 3D, voiceover, models, editing, copywriting, social media, proofreading, translation, printing, and brand protection

Clients, partners, friends

I don’t work for clients, but with clients, and behind all these logos stand not only successful reference projects but also the trustworthy collaboration with wonderful individuals whom I’m honored to call committed partners and friends, working together with joy.

To be continued …

The most exciting aspect of working as a designer is diving into various industries, companies, and teams, visualizing stories, expectations, and promises. No matter the size, age, or background of the company or brand, I look forward to new challenges and (assuming your favorite font isn’t Comic Sans) your inquiry for a shared coffee break!
