DESCRIPTION

To mark the ten-year anniversary of Zürcher Kantonalbank Österreich AG, a specially developed magazine celebrates the milestone with reflections on the past, insights into the future, and appreciation for all those who contributed to its success. The magazine title “ZEHN PLUS” and its logo became a temporary brand within the company, serving as the theme for a summer party, various employee initiatives, and the branding of client gifts.

OBJECTIVE

The aim was to create an exclusive magazine in honor of the anniversary, one in which the private bank’s target audience would see themselves reflected. A magazine that endures. A publication filled with inspiring stories that convey the quality of the company’s relationships on multiple levels. High-quality design, a refined tactile experience, and creative design impulses are intended to make this publication a lasting product, one that doesn’t end up in the recycling bin but rather earns a place on the coffee table in the homes of discerning clients.

IMPLEMENTATION

The distinctive naming for the anniversary year forms the basis for the magazine’s design as well as for subsequent campaigns and initiatives. “ZEHN PLUS” is graphically reduced to the Roman numeral ten and the mathematical symbol for addition. The X marks a crossroads and represents the first decade of Zürcher Kantonalbank in Austria, while the Plus symbolizes growth, positivity, and the future. The editorial design expands on the existing corporate design by incorporating a complementary color palette and typography. With striking imagery, dynamic typography, and meticulous attention to detail, the editorial team’s impressive texts are brought to life visually.

The 80-page layout, printed on premium offset paper, is bound by an 8-page cover. At first glance, the cover showcases a bold X with glimpses into the magazine, but upon closer inspection, it creates a connection with the reader. This is achieved through a mirrored foil and precise die-cut, offering a view into a double-layered collage that illustratively intertwines the four sections (Happiness, Money, Art, Future). Through the mirror effect, each cover becomes a unique piece and a symbol of constant change, making each customer metaphorically a part of the magazine—a key contributor to the first ten successful years of Zürcher Kantonalbank Österreich AG.
