DESCRIPTION

Forty years is a long time, and to mark this special anniversary in 2015, the HAK.HAS Neumarkt wanted to publish a book that would speak to both former and future students.

OBJECTIVE

The book should serve as a reflection, a snapshot of the present, and a forward-looking glimpse into the future of a school that has played a formative role in shaping the lives and careers of all its students.

IMPLEMENTATION

The school life from 1975 to 2015 offers a rich trove of stories and documents, waiting to be transformed into a fresh, engaging, and creative format. Interviews and personal experiences, along with facts and figures, were thoughtfully crafted and wrapped in captivating layouts. The book plays with the design of school textbooks from the 70s to the present day, incorporating elements from everyday school life over the past 40 years—like the teacher’s red pen, handwritten notes, or typewriter fonts. Each story was given its own unique look, seamlessly fitting into the bigger picture of a 120-page book full of character. With meticulous attention to detail and a playful nod, the book skillfully juggles between retro charm and contemporary flair.
